Dear Security team,
You would like more control on your premises, restrict access to valid staff keycards at certain condition? Learn how you can put it.
Here are the options you have:
- Revalidation Cards need to be validated at beginning of your teammate shift.
When validation time is over, cards (even if it is not expired) won't open doors. Will work again after revalidation.
What do you need to enable revalidation?
- Encoders dedicated for revalidation
- Software option for revalidation.
- Training performed by IOV technician support.
Why do you need revalidation?
Looks like a lot of work when we can just encode a keycards and it shall work until expired....
- Security: a lost keycard won't open doors after validation time.
- Security: a lost keycard can be cancelled in Visionline, but without option Online (ask us if you have that feature or not), a cancellation card must be presented to every lock.
- Security: when card is being revalidate, all events stored in the card will move to the database, hence permit you to track which doors the card opened before (with timestamp)
- Scalability: Revalidation applies to user groups, you can for example assign revalidation to housekeepers but not for security teams or managers
- Online command: Block/Unblock Just a few click in Visionline to block and unblock doors
What do you need to enable Online command?
- Hardware capability: Locks must be online. A network for locks must be deployed (With Vingcard equipment or 3rd party). Raise a ticket to book a survey.
- Software option for online and online advanced
- Training performed by IOV
Why do you need Online command?
User experience: some pictures worth more than thousand words
To block
To unblock
- Blocking cards Present a keycard at desired door to block user groups. present same card again to unblock.
What do you need to enable blocking cards?
Only training perform by IOV technical team
Why this option?
Because it doesn't require any software option, it comes with basic option of Visionline.
Because it is user friendly. You only need to observe some rules to use this option effectively.
- Blocking schedule Put a time schedule on doors, it will block user groups automatically at certain hours without your intervention
What do you need to enable Blocking schedule?
- Software option
- training by IOV technical team
Why do you need blocking schedule?
- Repetitive task:
Example, office doors shall be blocked following this schedule:
Monday 00:00 AM to 07:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM
Tuesday 00:00 AM to 07:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM
Wednesday 00:00 AM to 07:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM
Thursday 00:00 AM to 07:00 AM and from 10:00 PM to 12:00 PM
Friday 00:00 AM to 07:00 AM and from 11:00 PM to 12:00 PM
All time on Saturday
All time on Sunday
All staff are blocked except security team.
Instead of presenting a blocking card to the door each day, you perform the setting once and for all.
If one of those option suits you, or need training, please reach us by creating a ticket in iov.freshdesk.com or by mail to support@indianoceanvisions.com.
